Playtime! This abstract took two seconds. I lie. It took about five minutes. I had an old photograph of leaves (probably weeds, although I’m sure the green-fingered among you will be able to tell me what it is) in our Cretan garden which I had meant to do something with for aeons.
I used a freebie texture from Design Cuts and placed it on top of the photograph. I chose the ‘Difference’ blending mode in Photoshop.
There revealed was a rather captivating abstract with greens and golds and purples.
Have a bountiful weekend!

I love the rich colors… could just picture it on a throw pillow…and there it was!

It looks as if it was an embroidery. I’m sure a friend of mine who loves to embroider would love to have a go. Fantastic image and texture, Sarah. Happy weekend!

If you look at it magnified, it looks like tapestry. So glad you like it. Thanks, Olga.

Ohhhh…preeeetttyyy! Love the colors and the texture. Yeah, this needs to be on lots of home decor items for sure. I’m not sure, but the leaves on the plant remind me of a bay leaf plant I used to have.

I’m not very good with plants but I think they’re too narrow for bay leaves. So pleased you find it pretty, Itaya. Thank you.
