A very quick post to tell you I’m back! Yesterday was exhausting as I waded through thousands of emails. To say I’ll catch up with your posts from the last few days would be extremely stupid as I know from experience that it just ain’t gonna happen. But I hope to start afresh today.

SONNET 116

[The italics denote which part of the sonnet is quoted on the bag.]

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no; it is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests, and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

Take care and keep laughing!

Sarah

  1. I am so glad to see you here….I obviously missed something, because was beginning to think you might not be well….As long as you are alive and well, I can certainly wait…..sending love and of course – keep smiling:)xx

  2. I’m with Janet. If you’re well, that’s all that matters. The world of blogging is like a pretty wild river. If you stop for a minute you go under. Impossible to catch up. Just go with the flow.

  3. I still have to put the Christmas decorations in the loft, and it’s already time to think about Valentine’s Day! That’s a nice image, Sarah, and a lovely quote too. I am pleased that your bandwidth is restored.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

  4. Sarah, your blog seems so appealing to me that I have promised myself to delve into it more deeply. I like that you seem to focus on whatever you feel like, and assume that it will find an audience, which it obviously has.

  5. Welcome back, Sarah. There’s no need to worry about catching up as we are all in the same boat. It’s crazy how taking a short break from the virtual world leads to the amassing of so much correspondence.
