i teach my kindy class about frida each year, and we create personal collages in her style. she has a detroit connection, as she and diego spent 11 months here, while he created an iconic mural at the detroit institute of arts. i’ll be going to see a special show/exhibit here in the next couple of months, celebrating their time here. she is amazing.
