I adore clocks and watches and all things time-related, perhaps because I’m constantly trying to hold back time!
I created two circular layers from the centre of the same Chinese print I used in The Green, Green Grass of Home, one in Multiply mode and one in Normal. I used a clock face with roman numerals by Rachael Towne from Flickr in Normal mode at 67% and sandwiched it between the Chinese circles. The background is the entire Chinese print blended in Multiply mode with texture 2LO – Crackle 11 from 2 Lil’ Owls. I topped it all off with a layer of green (#5b5f48) in Multiply mode.

I have mentioned before I must I love your clocks, and will one of these days get into Zazzle to take a look….This is beautiful. By the way my mother-in-law’s nick name was ‘tick tock’, because she loved clocks so much:) Keep smiling….Janet xx

My grandmother should have been called ‘tick tock’ as well. I don’t know whether she liked clocks in particular but she used to wear a million watches on her wrist trying to make them work by ‘being next to each other’!

This has a lovely oriental feel, with a ‘Victorian’ theme from the clock face. Not a combination I would have ever thought of, but it works very well indeed. A tribute to your artistic flair, Sarah!
Best wishes, Pete. x

Sarah Vernon creates the most stunning designs and although a trifle early!!! I do suggest that before you pull your hair out trying to find unique and special gifts for the ones you love…you visit Sarah’s online shopping sites…Fine Art America and England as well as Redbubble, Zazzle and Saatchi Art.
