Without dwelling on how ancient I am, I can remember going to the circus as a boy and seeing elephants and lions at them. I lived deep in the country, and this taste of more exotic landscapes was always thrilling to me. I remember always wondering if the lion might get a little hungry during all that exercise, but I’m pleased to say they never did

Although we lived in Surrey/SW London, I also found the couple of visits we made thrillingly exotic.

Thank you, Marilyn. I was going to say no time at all but in fact it can take months as I gather the resources and then suddenly elements come together in my head and I meld them into one. Or I experiment and gather together disparate images and see what happens!
