What a wonderful quote, Sarah. Thanks so much for passing it on. ‘Sail away from the safe harbour’ – that’s the key to the creative life, isn’t it. Am now off to follow the link to the original post. Happy Wednesday.

Great quote. Did you see the wee video on Nick Verron’s blog? It said research amongst elderly people showed people at the end of life are more likely to regret the things they didn’t do, the chances they didn’t take in life than regret things they did do.
Mind you, it is easier to appreciate the quote than adopt it as life’s motto. I’m sure I’ll regret not being brave enough to some chances.

Yes, I did, and I’ve seen that said many, many times over the last few years. Carpe diem, Mary!

I agree with Peter. I used that quote a couple of years back when I left my job. Things haven’t worked out as planned, but then, what does? Thanks, Sarah!

Not much, that’s for sure! There’s a Jane Austen quote about ‘preparations, foolish preparations’ that we should remember too!

Thanks Sarah, I’m sitting with an ice pack between my shoulders right now and doing my best with some exercises to loosen up the pinched neck nerve. Slow going, as you would say, but it is coming along.
