I always find that vintage postcards are even more interesting when you know something about the artist. You’ve probably noticed, from time to time, a group of cards from a particula…

Today is a good day for I discovered that the above artworks, You’re the Cream in My Coffee Valentine and Travelling with the Buzzard, were variously featured in the Fine Art America groups Digital Touch, 3 A Day Greeting Cards and Female Artists.

My weekend delights began last night when I received notification that a customer had bought 40 postcards of Sing a Song of Sixpence on Zazzle.  A design from three or four years ago, it is a perfect card for theatre professionals, including as it does the theatrical form of good luck, ‘Break a Leg’.

I hope your weekend is proving equally delightful.

Halloween and Christmas seem to be on people’s minds already.  I sold a Halloween Night card on Greeting Card Universe the other day and the Halloween Witching Time Postcard on Zazzle today.

The Lion and the Unicorn Cards
The Lion and the Unicorn Cards by FirstNightDesign

This beautiful illustration of the lion and the unicorn as in Lewis Carroll‘s Alice Through the Looking Glass is not, I have to confess, my work.   I have to thank Mr FND for the use thereof!  It is now available on my Zazzle store as a greeting card (above) and a postcard (below), with more products to come.  Coming soon will be t-shirts featuring the illustration—perfect Christmas and other holiday presents for your kids.

Each includes one verse from Carroll’s ditty of The Lion and the Unicorn:

The Lion and the Unicorn were fighting for the crown:
The Lion beat the Unicorn all round the town.
Some gave them white bread, some gave them brown:
Some gave them plum-cake and drummed them out of town.

Take care and keep laughing!  And I hope those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a sublime time on Thursday.
