‘Digital collage using a vintage theatre poster for the musical comedy The Earl and the Girl and several pieces of ephemera in my collection. Produced by William Greet, it was first staged in 1903 at the Adelphi Theatre, London, before transferring to the Lyric Theatre in 1904. The show was also produced on Broadway in 1905 with Eddie Foy in the lead. The book was by the then well-known actor-manager Seymour Hicks, with music by Ivan Caryll and lyrics by Percy Greenbank.’

Please do check out my friend Ana-Luisa’s delightful handmade concoctions for Christmas at running hare art & design. She and I have known each for many years and worked together on a musical adaptation of Alice Through the Looking Glass, she as The White Queen and me as The Red Queen. It was excellent casting all round!
