Take care and keep laughing!

I had never heard of the Norwich-born British artist Eloise Harriet Stannard until I discovered her on Wikipedia and used a detail from her Christmas Still Life (oil on canvas) to create a book cover for The Romantic Manifesto. Such luscious colours and textures, such exquisite detail. Just look at those part-peeled oranges and you will start salivating. I believe I’ve seen the painting before — probably a chocolate box or two — but had never known the artist responsible.

Zazzle tells me that now is the time to promote my products for Halloween. Since I almost never do this with calendar dates in time to make a difference to my sales, I’m continuing with the theme for today’s post. Look away now if you can live without 31st October!

I selected the witch from a vintage image from The Graphics Fairy and then created a black background with stars. I’m rather fond of the result though I say it myself as shouldn’t.

ACT I  SCENE I  A desert place.
[Thunder and lightning. Enter three Witches]
First Witch When shall we three meet again
In thunder, lightning, or in rain?
Second Witch When the hurlyburly’s done,
When the battle’s lost and won.
Third Witch That will be ere the set of sun. 5
First Witch Where the place?
Second Witch Upon the heath.
Third Witch There to meet with Macbeth.
First Witch I come, graymalkin!
Second Witch Paddock calls. 10
Third Witch Anon!
ALL Fair is foul, and foul is fair:
Hover through the fog and filthy air.
[Exeunt]

This has taken all morning to load and reblog on this dratted mobile. I now have to lie down and think beautiful thoughts about sugar-plum fairies to ease the stress!

First Night Design

Having just sold five sheets of Angel Love address labels — leaps in the air with excitement — I thought it was high time I said something about Christmas.  Or, rather, said nothing about Christmas but simply gather more designs for you to choose from.  They have a multitude of uses: parcel labels, gift tags, wrapping paper fastenings; in fact, you can stick them anywhere!  Perhaps I should rephrase that and say merely that you can label anything you choose with these Avery delights.
