  1. HI Dear Sarah…..One of my favourite people, artist and friend was Howard Thorne (now diseased) Howard was a superb old school sign painter. His signs going back a lot of years are now worth a great deal of money…and so they should be. I had the great honour of painting his portrait. Thank you for this post and for reminding me of some very happy times with a very special sign painter. Hope it’s not too windy on IOW – it is blustery, showery and quite cool here, which I have to tell you I am relishing. Enjoy the weekend with your little friend. Janet 🙂 xx

    1. How marvellous to have reminded you of happy times (that warms me up on an Island that is very blustery, stormy, horrid and cold this week!)
