  1. A good cause indeed, and worth highlighting.
    As for tower blocks, they are of course not all the same. I could happily live in the Barbican, with the solid construction, reduced noise levels, and attractive gardens or balconies, as well as wonderful views over London. Grenfell Tower and the nearby blocks couldn’t be more different in terms of aspect and construction values.

    1. But do you know if the Barbican has or hasn’t flammable cladding? I’m afraid I could never live in the Barbican as I find it incredibly ugly. Actually, I’m not sure I could live in any tower block, flammable or not. x

      1. It has no exterior cladding at all. The ‘quality’ developments are just concrete. (Or clad in marble!) That ‘Brutalist’ architecture has always appealed to me, not unlike Art Deco, which I know that you are also not fond of. X
