Jolly dee! Just to let you know, in case you didn’t see the ‘sticky’ post, I’m not replying to comments (apart from this, of course!) or visiting blogs at the moment (apart from political/history ones) because of ill-health.

Bright and beautiful. It’s amazing to realise how much design and art can be found in everyday things. Although I imagine that it would be a bit like books, the cover must have helped the sales of the music sheets too. Perfect! Have a great weekend, Sarah!

It is delightful, isn’t it? And I adore that shade of yellow. Thanks, Jacqueline. Hope you’ve got the sun over there!

It’s a very sunshiney yellow ~ I’ve painted a few walls that colour in various houses! The weather has been fantastic over here ~ we’ve been working in the garden/courtyards and reading in the sun! 🙂

Your card is lovely, and illustrates how much work went into the marketing of sheet music at the time. Remember when record album covers were also mini works of art? Halcyon days…
Best wishes, Pete. x

I remember! I’ve yet to unpack the box with all my records but I’m considering buying something to play them. Who’d have thought?

I did get a record player a few years ago. Now I don’t have anywhere suitable to place it. Oh well…x

Lovely, Sarah. I’m away on holiday for a week on Arran so don’t be surprised to find I’m not visiting as usual. I’m not going to be online very much – unless the weather is very bad.

Have a wonderful break, Mary, and I hope the weather is luscious. If not, I hope the food is luscious!
