It was such an iconic programme that I can’t resist re-blogging this post on First Night Design. (My mother was at RADA with Patrick McGoohan!)
Images from the cult television show The Prisoner mark the 50th anniversary of filming in Portmeirion, north Wales.
It was the best of the best as far as I’m concerned. Be seeing you. 😀

I remember watching it being both gripped and confused. I was about 12. I’d like to see it again to see what I make of it now.

One of my favourite shows…and Portmeirion a super place to visit. A friend and I stayed there in one their cottages overlooking the estuary which was lovely…. I also bought a lot of seconds….plates, etc. which I still have. Thank you, Sarah…enjoy the rest of your day…Janet:)xxx

Wow! I haven’t managed to visit Portmeirion yet but have always been intrigued (and have bought their pottery). Thanks for the reminder, Sarah and I hope you’re feeling better.

I used to love that series when I was younger. Real off-the-wall original television. We could do with more of that!
Best wishes, Pete. x

Portmeirion – a favourite place since childhood. And just this weekend they had the annual Festival Number Six. That, by the looks, would be something to go to: http://festivalnumber6.com/
