This is my third and final quote for the challenge Jane Morley invited me to join — thank you, Jane!
Jane started with a Winnie-the-Pooh quote and I cannot finish the challenge without adding A.A. Milne’s silly old bear.
Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. “Pooh?” he whispered.
“Yes, Piglet?”
“Nothing,” said Piglet, taking Pooh’s hand. “I just wanted to be sure of you.”
Here are three lovely people with three lovely blogs I’m tagging for the challenge. Dear friends, if you are pressed for time, please don’t feel you have to take part.
- You haven’t lived until you’ve seen the photography of Cindy Knoke. Whether a flower, a rose, a hippopotamus or an elephant, Cindy has a way with a lens that puts many photographers in the shade.
- Peter from Counting Ducks has a ready wit when it comes to the foibles of human nature. You will find yourself laughing and crying when you read his stories.
- Katherine Scrivens is a Bristol-born artist who lives in Denmark. While she is known for her silhouette paintings, the great thing about Katherine is that she is always up for changing her style. At the moment, for instance, she is taking her inspiration from Holbein.
Take care and keep laughing!
I’m so glad you finished with Pooh Bear and AA MIlne Sarah, so much wisdom to be found in those pages! 😀 😉

Milne’s work was a world I wrapped my children in for years. We read everything. Hung pictures from our walls and taped them to our ceilings. It’s a beautiful drawing, Sarah. The memories come rushing back, warm and deliciously honeyed.

I’m glad to hear that, Shelley – no childhood should be without Pooh, Piglet, Wol, Kanga and Roo!

My young niece used to say that. Without the explanation, but it wasn’t needed. 🙂
