World Book Day: Our Favourite Books

Battersea Arts Centre is a marvellous space and was one of our local theatres before we moved to Crete. As it’s World Book Day today, here are their favourite books, their ‘reading list’. In other news, next month’s bandwidth will begin on Sunday (8th March). Roll on Sunday!

  1. Always good to see what others like. I found two oversights in The Book Thief that the editor missed. Here’s one: the boy (sorry I forget his name) says to Leisel, “You’re in for it.” As soon as I read that, I knew no German child would say that. I turned to the back to check where the author was from because that’s what children said in Australia. Still a good read though.
