First Night Design | Quick Update & a Couple of Cushions

Quick update: We have been given a separate keyboard for the computer on loan and discovered that no one was able to connect to the internet yesterday because of the weather in this part of Crete including rarely-seen snow in Chania!

It will take quite a while to catch up with all the lovely comments you’ve left since the end of November so please bear with me and forgive me if my responses are limited to ‘liking’. I suspect that if I reply to all of you, I will never get back on track!

In the meantime, here are a couple of cushions I sold in the lead-up to Christmas.

The bad news – oh yes, there’s always bad news in my life! – my glasses, which admittedly don’t work brilliantly while I’m waiting for the cataract operation, have gone AWOL so that I’m having to screw up my good eye in order to read. C’est la vie.

Take care and keep laughing!

  1. The pillows are beautiful…..
I really feel for you misplacing your glasses…..I am completely lost without mine…..so, I keep several paris of very inexpensive…i.e. £3.00 a pair, around the flat….so that at least I can see something in the event that I lose my good ones!:)
The weather worldwide is crazy….and we are about to be hit with big storms this weekend……Let’s hope things start to get better for you soon….meanwhile, keep laughing, and I will re blog.:)x

    1. Thank you so much, Janet. My problem with cheap glasses is that I’m long-sighted but also need an intermediate prescription for the computer. If it was short sight, I’d have as many cheap ones as possible but they never help. I’ve yet to find off-the-pegs for long or intermediate sight. Don’t forget the brandy stores for the weekend storms!

  2. Hope your glasses find their way home to you again! You might try doing like I used to tell my son when he was little…sit quietly with your eyes closed and call them to you. If a place keeps popping in your mind, go look there first! Love the cushions above! 🙂
