First Night Design | Yellow in Art

“There is no blue without yellow and without orange.” Vincent Van Gogh

“Yellowism is not art, and Yellowish isn’t anti-art. It’s an element of contemporary visual culture. It’s not an artistic movement. It’s not art, it’s not reality, it’s just Yellowism.” Marcin Lodyga

“There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot, but there are others who, thanks to their art and intelligence, transform a yellow spot into the sun.” Pablo Picasso

Take care and keep laughing!

  1. I wrote a short play once called ‘Yellow’. It’s one of the happiest colours. I agree, custard yellow is not good. Talking of tea, my latest addiction is Chai, have you tried it? xxx (p.s have had to resort to using a mouse…grrrr)

    1. I don’t drink tea, only peppermint if tum is bad. Occasionally I drink a fruit tea but hot drinks make me so thirsty! I’m an odd cove as I don’t drink coffee either…unless it’s got lashings of cream and a healthy dose of brandy or whatever. As for you having to use a mouse, I’m empathise. My fingers are allergic to them. (Would love to read Yellow some time.)

      1. You are funny! about the tea and coffee I mean. I’m allergic to the mouse as well but needs must – either that or a trip to a fancy apple store several 1,000 kms away to get the wretched thing fixed. I could do with a good dose of brandy right now – our drains are blocked and our bedroom was flooded with S*&T this morning. I’ve no idea what happened to my ‘Yellow’ play, lost in the annals of time…..;)
