And there you have it. Well, not quite. There were, naturally, many different stages in between during which I twiddled and smoothed, blended and swore. The profanity came thick and fast because my touchpad kept sticking. Dog hairs. They get everywhere. At least that was what my tame computer consultant said last time. But when he showed me the evidence, I told him I couldn’t be absolutely certain that I wasn’t the main culprit as short, white dog hair inside a computer looks suspiciously like short, white human hair.

Take care and keep laughing!
Love this design. I’ve been having problems with my touch pad too – have you got a mac? the cursor has been flying everywhere (a bit like one of those dodgy supermarket trollies with the wonky wheels) and then it keeps highlighting words in yellow and some sort of dictionary appears – really annoying grrrrr 😦

Thank you, Puffin! Yes, mine’s a mac. Sounds much the same. Keeps selecting whole screeds of text which I then delete without realising as I was only trying to select and delete one word. Scrolling is a nightmare when this happens and you want to go to the top of the page and no matter what you do on the touch pad, it goes up and down, up and down and it’s impossible to deselect. I love my mac but…!

I took my previous mac to the apple shop and they fixed it for free, put in a new track pad in – but this computer is only 13 months old. It drives me bonkers, fortunately today it’s resolved itself. it seems to last about 48 hours and then the problem goes away….until the next time! :O

There is no rhyme nor reason to the way macs behave. Grits teeth and struggles on.

I know the feeling! Hope the problem resolves itself. A new mac is out of the question for me 😦

A beautiful design and post:). My Apple Mac wireless keyboard recently began to malfunction. Turned out water colour paint had somehow worked its way between the keys!!!

Thank you! I’ve doused past macs with lemonade and all sorts and a drying out usually solves the problem…but hair? It needs opening up and a good blow, if you’ll pardon the expression, and I don’t trust myself to do that and get it back together properly.

It looks gorgeous. I bought a separate keyboard and mouse for my laptop as it was very jumpy (or too slow) and got one that theoretically is spill resistant, but I hand’t thought about the hairs. Don’t tell me we’ll have to wear a surgical cap or a balaclava to use our computers? Maybe I should shave my head (I don’t have cats or dogs at the moment…)

Thank you, Olga. You’re a great support and I appreciate it. I replied to your comment about Present Abstract on FAA but they never send notifications when people reply so you may not know that I said: High Wycombe? I went to Godstowe many moons ago! As for hair, perhaps shaving is the answer. Mine comes out a lot because of a thyroid condition so I’ll soon be shaved!
